“Set a goal so big that if you achieved it, it would blow your mind.” Daily Positive Affirmation! Every challenge in my life that comes along is my opportunity to learn and help me grow into the person I want to be. Positive Affirmations make life easier. For the past three weeks I have been trying to be as positive as I possible can about everything. Negativity brings destruction to all thoughts and actions. There is a solution to every problem and there is a lesson learned from all obsticles we encounter.
I am most focused when I am working with my hands creating treasures. I have decided that I will make at least three to four treasures a week. These treasures will become my home decor to remind me that my goal of having my own up-cycle, craft / coffee shop can and will be accomplished.
Two Treasures I made this week
My weekend will be filled with working on my garage conversion and some organizing of my supplies. Have a blessed weekend everyone and stay safe! Peace!
So last night I remotivated my hubby to get back to working on the garage! It’s almost there. Just a little piece of wall needs to be insulated and covered, the molding needs to be installed & then we can wipe down start priming and painting. I am so excited to get this space all to myself. I am currently cramed in a tiny room in my house that is filled with totes because we emptied the garage to upcycle it to my craft room. I have chosen my color scheme and can’t wait to see it. The wall color will Sunflower seed, which is a pale yellow and the furniture will be Winterscape which is a beautiful light blue. We used T1-11siding for the walls and ceiling in the garage. I loved the look of it and it will last forever. While at an estate sale last Saturday I purchased (2) 6 foot bamboo rugs. These rugs go for $150 each at Pier one Imports. I paid $20 for the pair, they will be perfect in there. I also have 3 dressers in storage that I received from a friend that was selling their house and down sizing, I will upcycle them into my craft room furniture once I move in there. Once the garage aka “My Universe” is completed I will post before during and after pictures along with the upcycling of furniture.
Well here we are January 15, 2019. It’s been two and half weeks since I have been on here. My issue, I am a procrastinator! I have been addicted lately to you tube! I love, love, love the idea of upcycling everything. So my nights have been consumed with upcycling you tube videos. People are so creative! Since I have been watching these videos my brain doesn’t stop. I even went to an estate sale last Saturday while visiting my parents in New Jersey. I found so many awesome finds. I seem to be drawn to wooden picture frames and wooden dining chairs. I am going to give this a go. I have so many ideas to upcycle the items I found. We are still working on the garage being converted into my work space hopefully it is completed soon. If I am rambling so sorry but I am new at this. My ultimate goal is to show you the great items I have found and what treasures I have turned them into. Through out my whole life as long as I can rememeber I always wanted to make things. Well this year I have dedicated myself to just that. I will be posting start to finish items in the upcoming weeks. I hope you all enjoy and follow my path.
“I am Beautiful and Smart and that’s how everyone sees me.” (Positive Affirmation for Daily Practice).
Well today is Friday and it is a rainy day. I am trying not to let the gloomy day make me gloomy. I am so excited to get myself organized and re-grouped for the new year, 2019 will be my year to shine. I am going to get a few days head start this weekend by organizing my current work space and trying to get my new work space finished. I hope you all have a fabulous Friday despite the weather. Remember to Live everyday to the fullest, Love with all your heart and Laugh uncontrollably.
Well 4 more sleeps and the New Year begins. For years I have wanted to be my own boss. I am tired of working for someone else. I have so many dreams and desires for business and never truly know where to begin. I love making things with my hands. I love up-cycling old objects for the house and/or my garden. I love to sew and even though I am a beginner I am getting better. My ultimate goal is to open a store you can come into and have a cup of coffee or tea and browse through my up-cycled projects and things that I hand crafted with love. I currently make everything from a small room in my house. It’s cramped and cluttered. My wonderful husband had offered to re-do our garage and make it my work space. He started it back in June but with the summer and vacations, daughter’s wedding and holidays it has been put on hold. It is almost complete, so our goal is to have me in there by the end of January, 2019. I can’t wait! I will definitely post before and after pictures.
I am new at blogging and was told to just write my story. So here’s to the New Year 2019! My new Motto “Everything is going to work out for my highest good.” (Positive Affirmations for Daily Practice ). I will try to write at least once a day on what I have done to reach my dream. I am giving myself 2 years with the hope that I actually accomplish my Dream in 1 year. As Walt Disney once said :
